QUETTA: Former Federal Minister and President National Party Mir Hasil Bizenjo has said on Thursday security establishment in the country has not mentally accepted 18th amendment seeking changes in it.

“National Party will oppose all moves of rolling back 18th amendment in the country reiterating his party will fight of all conspiracies seeking to turn democratic institutions’ victory into defeat.” Hasil Bizenjo said while addressing a news conference in Quetta’s Press Club.

Sharing his views on general elections what he described as “engineered” Hasil Bizenjo said, the establishment has punished us for supporting democracy and demanding supremacy of parliament, by ambushing on public mandate, establishment played its role in polls and elected favorite candidates for its personal interests.

Vowing to continue drive against rigged elections Hasil Bizenjo said, 2018 general elections was a useless practice where blatant rigging proved Election Commissions’ negligence, “National Party deliberately kept sided from National and Provincial Assembly but our movement against engineered election will be continued.”

Former Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, Senator Kabir Muhammad Shahi, Tahir Bizenjo, Yasmeen Lehri and senior leadership of NP were present in the news conference.

A meeting of Central Committee of National Party was held on August 8 against the rigged elections and vindictive action against National Party rejecting the election results.

“The National Party has announced fully support for opposition parties protesting against manipulated elections, next protest against Election Commission of Pakistan will be held in Peshawar and the 3rd has been announced in Quetta.” Hasil Bizenjo said and added we were aware of establishment’s vindication before the elections for supporting democracy.

He added, on Election Day, I was in Awaran, three candidate Khair Jan Baloch, Sardar Gambrani and an independent candidate in written informed ROs regarding rigging but no one was able to take action.

National party is going to hold Council Session in Quetta on August 28,29 and 30 August. The Party’s central committee has decided to take strict action against party workers and leaders involved in violation of party’s constitution.
