QUETTA: Caretaker Health Minister Faiz Kakar has announced on Tuesday that provincial government has decided to establish a task force helping to counter health mafia and said 700 new doctors will be appointed and posted across Balochistan.

Addressing a news conference here in Quetta Interim Health Minister Faiz Kakar said, health department has established a complaint center where people can registered their complaints on 080034567 while 200 new appointments were made to monitor the Biometric system,

“There are various mafias active in Health Department, therefore we have decided to establish a task force which will bring positive changes in department within six months.”

Sharing his views on the shortage of doctors in remote areas of Balochistan he said, 700 new doctors will be hired on contract basis and they will be posted in interior Balochistan which would be helpful in providing health relief to people on their door steps.

Replying to a question Faiz Kakar said, in next two months WHO and International donors pledged of building a new laboratory in Quetta fully equipped with modern machinery, “The modern laboratory would be capable of testing all kind of viruses which will provide relief to the poor people.”

Interim Health Minister said, we have computerize receipt system in all government hospitals in Quetta which increased daily revenue from one lakh to one and half lakh, “The staff member who was heading the receipt system attacked patients and being arrested by police because he was against the computerization of receipts.”

Talking on the recent deliver case of Muslim Bagh Faiz Kakar said, Interim CM Balochistan Ala udd Din Mari took notice of the incident and I have met the parents, provincial government will take action against the lady surgeon.
