QUETTA: The Leader of the House election for Balochistan Assembly (BA) has been extended by one day by Speaker BA Mir Qudus Bizenjo on request of the opposition benches which is set to take place on 18th August.
QUETTA: The Leader of the House election for Balochistan Assembly (BA) has been extended by one day by Speaker BA Mir Qudus Bizenjo on request of the opposition benches which is set to take place on 18th August.
An erstwhile announcement made by the Assembly Secretariat said that only Balochistan Awami Party (BAP)’s President Jam Kamal Khan had submitted his form for the slot of Chief Minister Balochistan.
Complaining during Thursday Session the opposition’s candidate for Chief Minister Malik Sikandar Advocate said that they had received schedule from Secretary regarding election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker and were unaware of nomination form submission for Chief Minister.
“At 6pm we were told that today was the last day for submitting nomination form for Chief Minister’s elections which is not a good example for the whole Assembly,” Malik Sikandar Advocate added.
BNP Mengal’s Sana Baloch said that the Assembly secretaries didn’t follow the rules and regulations of the Assembly while issuing the schedule for election of the leader of the house,
Ruling on Sana Baloch’s request, Speaker Qudus Bizenjo extended the election the nomination papers’ submission by one day and called next Assembly Session to elect new Chief Minister on August 18.
