QUETTA: An Accountability Court on Friday granted 10 days physical remand to four officer of Food Department involved in wheat embezzlement case.

Assistant Food Controller PRC Zhob center Gul Jan, Assistant Account Officer Shafiq ur Rehman, District Food Controller Qilla Abdullah Naeem Alizai and Assistant PRC In-Charge Muslim Bagh Hamyoun Khan appeared before the Accountability Court Judge Munawar Ahmed Shahawani.

National Accountability Bureau (NABP submitted a reference in the court seeking physical remand of 14 days of the accused to proceed further investigation in wheat embezzlement case.

Over NAB’s request the Accountability Court granted 10 days physical remand and adjourned the hearing till August 20.

National Accountability Bureau Balochistan arrested the mentioned accused over embezzling millions of rupees by misusing of powers and inflicting huge losses to national exchequer.
