QUETTA: The First Frontier Corps (FC) All Balochistan Squash Tournament 2018 concluded here on Saturday night with Sham ul Islam, the former Asian Champion as winner.

The Tournament was organised by Balochistan Squash Association in collaboration with FC Ghazaband Scouts.
As many as 64 squash players participated in the matches that were held from 8 August to 11 August at Squash Court. The participants who made to the final were Shams ul Islam, a former Asian Champion and a very young and energetic boy of Muhammad Hamza. Umpire of the match was Saleem Siddiqui.

In a best of five match, Shams ul Islam clinched the match in the presence of Commandant Ghazaband Colonel Rab Nawaz. While Saif ul Islam, President All Balochistan Squash Association, Muhammad Arshad Secretary Balochistan Squash Association and Moin Ahmed Siddiqui Joint Secretary Balochistan Squash Association were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the concluding session, the Commandant Ghazaband Scouts appreciated such sporting events what he called under tense atmosphere that prevails in Balochistan and vowed to sponsor and support such events in the future.
The members of the Squash Association, however, lamented on lack of patronage of the game by the authorities concerned and demanded more support in terms of financial resources and equipment to engage youth of Balochistan in healthy sporting activities.
