Provincial Cabinet forms Committee to revive the financial plight of Mastung blast victims

QUETTA: The Interim Cabinet Session on Wednesday enhanced compensation amount from rupees one to 1.5 million for the martyrs of Mastung suicide attack and raised the amount for the injured of the horrific blast.

QUETTA: The Interim Cabinet Session on Wednesday enhanced compensation amount from rupees one to 1.5 million for the martyrs of Mastung suicide attack and raised the amount for the injured of the horrific blast.

Chaired by Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Alla ud Din Mari the interim cabinet has approved the raise in compensation amount for the martyrs and injured of Mastung suicide blast and the cabinet announced to form a committee that will assess the victim families, their education and recommendations to revive the financial plight of Shuhda families.

Following the approval the cabinet enhanced the compensation amount from rupees one million to 1.5 million and rupees 200,000 for injured received minor wounds in the horrific blast.

“Mastung blast was the devastating attack reported in the history of Balochistan and can’t be condemned by words as the loss of 149 people stirred the nation.” Interim CM Balochistan said and added it’s a responsibility of provincial government to take care of the families of Mastung Blast martyred.

Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan said, the provincial government has established a relief fund under Relief and Rehabilitation Act 2014, “People of Balochistan particularly philanthropists should come forward and add their share in the relief and revival of victim families of Mastung blast.”

Alla ud Din Mari directed the finance department to help the martyred and injured families in receiving compensation amount and make easier the process so the victim families couldn’t face difficulties in receiving their cheques.

“Indeed we can’t bring back the martyrs of Mastung Blast, but providing the victim families relief and quality health treatment to the injured definitely can appease their woes and grieve.” Alla ud Din Mari added.

Taking notice on the news of delays in releasing compensation amount for the family of slain DIG Hamid Shakeel, Interim Chief Minister ordered the concern authorities to release the amount immediately.

Meanwhile the cabinet approved extra funds of security arrangement for coming general elections.
