Tough people of Quetta loved to hold Eid gathering with dry fruits and traditional foods but following precedents from other cities, people in Quetta have added bakery items and sweets on their guest room’s sheet.
Business of Bakery items and Sweet has reached on its peak as a large number of people have been thronged to the shops in Quetta on Chaand Raat.
The famous bakeries and sweet shops were seen packed with people buying bakery items and sweets for their families.
“Eid greetings can’t be filled unless we welcomed our relatives and friends in our guest rooms with sweets and bakery items, therefore it have been become a vital part of Eid foods.” Abdul Waheed a resident of Quetta said while buying bakery items and sweet for his family.
People from the remote parts of Balochistan have already completed Eid foods items including sweets and bakery items and left for their native cities to celebrate Eid festival with family.
Jameel Kasi an owner of Quetta’s one of prominent bakery said, people from other cities were bought bakery items and sweets before 25th Ramzan but on the last days people of Quetta and its suburbs are rushing towards bakeries and sweet shops,
“Eid days are the days when we sell large amount of bakery items and sweets as compare with rest of the year, despite people surge in our shop we don’t compromise on quality.” He added.
Following public complaints regarding bad cleanliness situation in the kitchen of Quetta’s majority bakeries and sweet shops, Deputy Commissioner Quetta Captain retired Farrukh Atique directed his team to crackdown against bakeries and sweet shops not pursuing cleanliness in their kitchen.
On Wednesday night Assistant Commissioner Quetta Sania Saafi along with her team launched an operation and sealed two famous bakeries over bad cleanliness situation in their kitchen.
During the operation dozens of expiry bottles of cold drinks had also been seized.
“The bakery owners were selling expiry bakery material and sweets which is clearly harmful for human being health, the District Administration won’t allow anyone to sell flawed edibles to the citizens of Quetta particularly during the holy month.” AC City Sania Saafi said.
