QUETTA: Despite having natural resources worth of billions of dollars, yet Balochistan has been grappled in financial crisis, there is a need earnest efforts and planning in Balochistan. Caretaker CM Balochistan said.

QUETTA: Despite having natural resources worth of billions of dollars, yet Balochistan has been grappled in financial crisis, there is a need earnest efforts and planning in Balochistan. Caretaker CM Balochistan said.

“We can’t further relies on Federal Government assistance to fill our financial gaps, Balochistan could be stand on its feet if we pays keen attention towards CPEC and Gwadar port.” Caretaker Chief Minister AlaudDin Marri said while charring a session to review the performance of provincial financial department on Friday.

Chief Secretary Balochistan Dr. Akhter Nazeer, Additional Chief Secretary for P&D Hafiz Abdul Basir, Secretary Finance Qamar Masood and other officials have also attended the session.

Caretaker CM Balochistan has stressed upon reforms in all provincial departments to boost provincial economy and said, there is an imperative need of tax reforms in Balochistan because despite having replete natural resources, still we need to look at Federal Government to fill our financial gaps,

“Utilization of public money with dignity and honesty could only reprieve the province from incumbent financial crisis, which is for we all have to work hard and show sincerity towards our responsibilities.” Alla ud Din Marri said while addressing the session.

He added, there are dozens of opportunities of investing on provincial mining and fishers sectors those could be turned as lucrative business for provincial economy.

“We have to make a conducive and peaceful environment to persuade local and International investors.”

Talking in the importance of Gawadar port which is the heard of CPEC Caretaker Chief Minister said, the multi-billion development project (CPEC) will boost our provincial economy which is for we have to be ready with all necessary preparations,

“We have to active our tax departments and functionalize Balochistan Revenue Authority and Provincial Investment Board to discuss economic affairs with private investors.” Alla ud Din Marri directed the authorities.

Talking on the financial issue with Sindh Caretaker CM said, the interim government has decided to discuss water issue and financial dues with Sindh because still Sindh is under huge debt of Balochistan.

Alla ud Din Marri ordered strict surveillance on the performance of departments got budget increase during last annual budget.
