FIA nabs Afghan National involved in human smuggling

QUETTA: The Federal Investigation Agency on Thursday booked five including an Afghan national involved in human smuggling and brought four persons from Punjab to cross Pak-Iran border for Europe.

QUETTA: The Federal Investigation Agency on Thursday booked five including an Afghan national involved in human smuggling and brought four persons from Punjab to cross Pak-Iran border for Europe.

The Anti-Human Smuggling circle of FIA headed by SHO Noor Ahmed has raided on a local hotel at Mission Road and arrested an Afghan National Naimtullah alias Mehmood involved in human smuggling.

Four other persons hailed from Punjab were also booked by the Federal Investigation Agency from Baleli who were coming to Quetta to meet Naimat and then they had plan to move for Europe via Pak-Iran border Balochistan.

FIA lodged cases against them under Prevent of Smuggling of Immigrants Ordinance 160 act 2018 an  Anti-Human Smuggling Act and it was the first case lodged lodge in Quetta under the act.

“Four detained citizens of Punjab were in contact with Waqas alias Muhsin Baloch who shared Naimat number and told them to reach Quetta and meet him.” FIA officials said.

During the raid fake ID cards, mobile sims and passports were also seized from Naimat while during scrutinizing his cell phone, its been revealed that he was fervent in sending Afghan and Pakistani nationals to Europe via Panjgur and Gawadar.

The detained persons are being investigated under FIA custody while following direction by DG FIA Balochistan, the Anti Human Smuggling circle has intensified operation against human smugglers throughout the province.
