QUETTA: The Provincial Interim Minister for Information and Technology Khurram Shahzad said on Tuesday that, despite all odds including hot weather, general elections will be held in July as announced by ECP.

QUETTA: The Provincial Interim Minister for Information and Technology Khurram Shahzad said on Tuesday that, despite all odds including hot weather, general elections will be held in July as announced by ECP.

“We are showing utmost efforts to provide relief to the people of Balochistan, law and order during elections is top priority of the interim government in Balochistan, Khurram Shahzad said while talking to Journalist in Quetta Press Club.

He added, the caretaker government in Balochistan headed by CM Alla ud Din Marri has been working as team, our prime responsibility is to hold elections on time,

“We want to make sure people of Balochistan that the election will be held on time, despite all odds including hot weather we are going to provide all assistance to Election Commission in performing their duties during elections.” Interim Minister for IT added.

Replying to a question regarding Quetta’s Safe City Project he said, the Safe City Project is under progress and in near future it would be fully implemented in Quetta,

“Not Balochistan or Pakistan, law and order challenges have disturbed the whole world including United States, we have been attempting to provide peaceful environment to political parties in Balochistan so they could run their election campaign.” He added.
