QUETTA: The Delegation of Planning Commission Islamabad presided by Doctor Mohammad Faisal visited University of Balochistan and Met the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Javeid Iqbal in his chamber.

While the meeting the delegation was briefed about the educational and researched-based activities of the university of Balochistan.

They were further briefed about the educational system prevailed in the province and programs initiated to avert the challenges of drinking water shortage in the province.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Javeid Iqbal welcomed the delegation and informed them about the improvements they so far brought in the education system of the university.

He said, new campuses of Balochistan University were established in various remote areas of Balochistan to make the achievement of higher education easy and new programs according to the needs of market were initiated.

He said, Balochistan University with collaboration of planning commission would start work on various educational and research-based activities particularly on the projects related to avert shortage of drinking water in the province.

He said, shortage of drinking water in province particularly in Quetta valley is worsening day by day. It needs immediate heed from concerned authorities. There is need of construction of mini dams to overcome water crisis in province.

The delegation praised the efforts of Balochistan University and said the Balochistan University is moving towards transformation swiftly in this particular time period.

However, at the occasion the deans and members of all faculties were also present.
