QUETTA: Since January 2018 more than 80638 challan had been filed against more than 100,000 vehicle by National High Police Balochistan. DIG National High and Motorway Police said.

QUETTA: Since January 2018 more than 80638 challan had been filed against more than 100,000 vehicle by National High Police Balochistan. DIG National High and Motorway Police said.

“More than 500 personnel of National High Police have been performing their duties on the national highway passing through Balochistan, utilizing all their abilities to aware people regarding safe journey. DIG Motorway Police Abdul Hai Baloch said on Saturday.

He added, during any accidents, our staff has been providing all assistance to on the highways, their top priority is to rescue the victims and resume the traffic flow as quick as they can.

According to WHO annually 27 to 30,000 people are killed in road accidents while Pakistan is among the most dangerous countries in terms of road accidents. During a tally by an online newspaper, three times more people died due to road accidents than terrorism in Balochistan since 2000.

DIG Motorway Abdul Hai Baloch said, National Highway Police is taking effective measure to aware public regarding road safety measure, we don’t have modern road system as per new vehicle with latest system hitting on roads, and we intended to introduce modern N70, N40 road system in Balochistan.

Sharing the details this years’ National High Police Performance he said, more than 80638 challan had been filed and millions of rupees had been submitted in national exchequer.

Applauding the bravery of martyred patrolling officer Muhammad Idrees who intercepted explosive laden vehicle and foiled major suicide attack on FC Help centre DIG Motorway said, our brave officers has sacrificed his precious live and prevented the suicidal before reaching the entrance of FC help centre.
