QUETTA: Half a dozen Death were reported in far flung areas of Awaran district duo to gastro and provincial government sought help of army doctors and other staff for providing treatment to the affected people.

Officials sources suggested that at least six people including woman and children have been died to gastro during last one week in the area. “We are sending doctors teams in affected area of Awaran to provide medical treatment to the affected people,” Commissioner Kalat Division said.

Meanwhile, ISPR statement issued on Saturday late evening also confirmed epidemic affecting of large number of due p gastro. It said that army special relief and rescue operation has been launched in the affected areas of far flung areas of Awaran district of Balochistan on the request of the Provincial government.

Special Army medical teams with adequate medicines have reached Awaran and treating the patients. Special helicopters sorties flown to evacuate large number of critical patients of gastro from Tranchik area of Awaran to Hub to provide them with medical relief.

In addition, around thousand liters of drinking water, mosquito nets, ration packets, water tanks and hygiene kits have also been distributed amongst the local populaces.
