QUETTA: Despite QESCO assurance of electricity relief during Sehri and Aftaar, many parts of the provincial capital are compelled to face load shedding making their Ramzaan more difficult.

QUETTA: Despite QESCO assurance of electricity relief during Sehri and Aftaar, many parts of the provincial capital are compelled to face load shedding making their Ramzaan more difficult.

Sariyab Road, Qumbrani, Bashir Chowk, Killi Bangulzai, Gishkori Town and many parts of the provincial capital are facing un-announced load shedding despite Government announced of providing electricity relief during Sehri and Aftaar.

Since Ramzaan began, people in Quetta have been complaining against QESCO and accusing the power company of deliberately indulging public into the curse of load shedding.

“Before Ramzaan there was six hours electricity break-through in our own but From 1st Ramzan we have been facing un-announced electricity breakdown forcing us to make arrangements for Sehari and Aftari in full dark.”Nazeer Ahmed residents of Qumbrani road said while lambasting QESCO for breaking its promise of electricity relief during the holy month.

He added, we have been receiving just two hours electricity during Ramzaan, our women and children are compelled to begin and break their fast without electricity.

Responding on public complain of load shedding, QESCO officials said, the shortfall has been increased due to electricity theft. Areas notorious for electricity thieving have been facing un-announced electricity break down. QESCO said.

Load Shedding causing worse water shortage in Quetta city are people are compelled to buy water tankers worth of more than 1000 rupees unbearable  for poor citizens.

Children and Men are seen in majority towns of Quetta carrying gallons to fetch some water for their homes. While outside Filter ration plants there are long ques of citizens waiting to fill their bottles with clean drinking water.

“In the Holy Monty of Ramzaan we are compelled to fetch water from far areas, which causing immense hardship for us.” Muhammad Ismael said and added we are compelled to buy water rupees of 4 to 5 thousands a month.”

He urged the provincial government to provide relief to the poor people during Ramzaan as they have been living in miserable condition due to electricity breakout.
