QUETTA: The provincial capital received rain from early morning of Sunday that chilled weather, while rain caused flash flood in other parts of Balochistan.

QUETTA: The provincial capital received rain from early morning of Sunday that chilled weather, while rain caused flash flood in other parts of Balochistan.

Wind storm and rain grappled the provincial capital Quetta on Sunday that appeased hot waves in Quetta city and turned weather chilly the whole day.

Metrological Department has predicted rain for three days in various parts of the province including Quetta city.

Many streets in the city were filled with water as simmering drainage turned the roads into flood like situation. Many people including vehicle were seen struck in water on various cites of the provincial capital

People had to witness electricity breakdown throughout the day in the city as QESCO’s many feeders were shut down due to heavy rain and wind storm.

“Our teams had been departed to resolve the technical fault in all feeders, while efforts are underway to provide resume electricity in the city.” QESCO officials said.

The rain caused flash flood in Loralai, Lasbela and other cities of Balochistan as they also received torrential rain.
