QUETTA: Celebration marked all over Balochistan to remember Resolution day. Polo ground of Quetta Cantt hosted the most glamorous Askari Mela on the day which was attended by Governor, Chief Minister, Commander southern command, High officials of government and military and large audience.

Students of different schools presented national songs and also performed colorful skits to highlight struggle involved in independent moment.

Rocking performance of Army bands thrilled the audience as well as the traditional music and dance performances.

Fly past, drills, field operations and other performances of jawans were enchanted by the audience.

Speaking on the occasion Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan achakzai stated that 23rd March is a important day to remember in the history of Pakistan. It reminds us about the struggles and hardships of our forefathers and shows that commitment and hardwork can bring biggest possible change.

“With support of Pakistani nation our brave forces are insuring terror free country for our children. Efforts of security forces with the help of people are resulted in peace in

Balochistan”, Governor said.

Different stalls of Army, FC Balochistan and Police were presented for the Audience. Modern technology, Arms and tanks caught the eyes of the visitors. Specially schools kids were in love with big Army tanks and were busy all day in capturing photos sitting on them.

Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Federal and provincial ministers, Commander southern Command senior civil and military officers, women and children attended in large number.

Governor said March 23, 1940 is unforgettable day of our national history when political leadership of sub Continent decided its destination and after supreme sacrifices Achieved Pakistan. He said establishment of Pakistan was sign of lasting peace in South Asia and was ray of hope for poor and weak Muslims who were kept deprived of equal chances of development and their civilization entity was ended.

Through establishing Pakistan a State came into being where all nations and minorities could live without fear and danger.  He said by grace of Allah Almighty Muslims of Sub Continent achieve their destiny in the face of Pakistan.

He expressed satisfaction that Pakistani nation supported armed forces of Pakistan and law enforcement agencies that have uprooted extremism and Pakistan was moving towards peace. It is satisfying he said that our economy was getting stronger and Pakistan was emerging as strong economic power in the region.

In this journey of development we should avoid prejudices of colour, creed, language and others and continue struggle for strong Pakistan.

Governor Achakzai appreciated performance of Government and security forces for improving security and peace and expressed his pleasure that our efforts of years were bearing result and with national consensus completion of development projects and stable and prosperous Balochistan was being established. .
