QUETTA: Tuesday’s Balochistan Assembly proceeding remained incomplete as majority members of the treasury side were absent and Speaker adjourned the session citing incomplete quorum.

Former Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch pointed towards vacant chairs of treasury side and lamented over irresponsibility of the provincial government in addressing provincial affairs,

“Provincial Ministers aren’t taking interest in provincial assembly proceedings, before who we (opposition members) present our grievances.” Dr Malik Baloch said and added Ministers from the treasury side should be precluded to join the sessions.

Balochistan Assembly Session presided by Speaker Raheela Hameed Durrani commenced with the delay of half an hour.

“Provincial Assembly is a very sacred place to resolve public issues, each and every member should respect their job and make their presence in Assembly proceedings.” Raheela Hameed Durrani said while giving rolling on opposition’s criticism.

Opposition Leader Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal said on the floor that, unfortunately madam speaker have been giving rolling over ministers’ absence from past three sessions, but none has positively responded or joined the house,

“There is no one in our Assembly to take action against absent and irresponsible members.” He added.

Provincial Minister for Agriculture Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail assured the house that he will call Chief Minister and cabinet members to make sure their appearance in Assembly sessions but MPAs from the opposition side haven’t been given exemption to remained vanish from house proceedings.

Slamming the cabinet members PK MAP’s Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai said, our minister have been enjoying in Islamabad and their native towns, “They can’t run provincial affairs and not able to run the government.”

Responding on woman MPA Yasmeen Lehri’s point of incomplete quorum, Speaker Balochistan Assembly ordered to ring the bells an indication to call MPAs and later adjourned the Assembly proceedings till 22nd March.
