Government is making efforts to make the provincial capital safe. After listening to the complaint of local residents, Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has ordered early completion of Quetta safe city project for controlling crime effectively.

He said because of the delay in completion of Quetta Safe City Project is causing heavy losses in the shape of human lives, under the project closed-circuit television cameras will be installed at every nook and corner of the city.

The cameras will be monitored round the clock at the police headquarters monitoring the movement of suspects and criminals. However, the same experience had failed in Karachi where serious offences were committed or terrorists operated at will and the cameras failed to identify the gangsters, criminals or terrorists. Thus there should be an improvement in capturing the better image of the criminals committing crimes or terrorists spotted before he acts. Technology is useful for the police and other law enforcing agencies to chase the criminals and terrorists in a big way.

There is a greater need for improving the performance of the police force chasing the criminals and terrorists. It is very difficult to operate or chase the criminals in presence of a million or more illegal immigrants to Quetta. No one knows that who is involved in criminal activities or working for hostile security agencies harming the interests of Pakistan and its people. Thus, the illegal immigrants should be barred from the human settlements inside the major cities, including Quetta, and they all should be confined to barbed wire camps with their movement strictly restricted to their camps only. The Government in a bid to appease Afghanistan on the one hand and stepping up security efforts on the other hand in presence of a million of illegal immigrants, all unknown people, making the issue of security more complicated. The Government should prepare a firm and clear policy about the illegal immigrants first and settle the issue first and later on prepare plan for safe city in Quetta. Quetta cannot be safe from unwanted guests in millions from Afghanistan. There is no need to enter into any controversy and there is a simple questions that the illegal immigrants had not right in this country and they should voluntarily leave Pakistan before the security forces launch an action against the illegal immigrants.

The Government should not only block the CNICs of suspected Afghans, but the security forces should arrest them also for cheating the state of Pakistan and manipulating the things and got the CNICs through questionable means. All those notables and elders, including the chosen representatives of the people should also be arrested for verifying the documents of people who did not deserve a CNIC or other travel document. It amounts to cheating the State of Pakistan to forging the document and disguising the identity of a foreign national in Balochistan and elsewhere in Pakistan. The Government should reverse its soft and friendly policies towards the illegal immigrants and there should be a massive action to expel them from Pakistan as they had no right to stay back in Pakistan on any pretext. The safe city project will never be successful in present of more than a million illegal immigrants and a sizable section of them is suspected to be involved in subversive activities. We never suggested any inhuman treatment to the illegal immigrants as they have no right to stay back in this country. The Government should take firm action in chasing them out of country in a gentle way suggesting that they had no place to stay back in an alien country. The Chief Minister, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, should oversee the extradition of all illegal immigrants so that the resources of Balochistan should be reserved exclusively to the people of Balochistan and not the aliens.
