Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif said on Sunday that the messes will take revenge from those involved in disqualifying him through the power of vote in this year’s general elections.

Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif said on Sunday that the messes will take revenge from those involved in disqualifying him through the power of vote in this year’s general elections.

Addressing a public rally in Sheikhupura, he said the game of overthrowing elected governments that was being played for the last 70 years of Pakistan’s history must stop as failure to do so would pose serious threats to the country.

“But, Nawaz Sharif is not scared of anyone but the almighty and we will change the 70-year-old history … everyone will have to respect the sanctity of vote so that a handful of individuals cannot oust the elected prime minister of 200 million people again,” he remarked.

The deposed prime minister said that ballot boxes of those waiting for umpire’s finger will remain empty and the masses will take revenge from those responsible for ousting him as the premier.

“Ask Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) if they have completed a single project in their respective provinces … PPP had plunged the country into darkness and we brought back its lights. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is all destroyed and Karachi depicts a picture of a dustbin,” said the PML-N chief.

“Nawaz Sharif has been ousted for eradicating terrorism, ending electricity loadshedding and initiating development projects,” he remarked.

Citing his earlier two tenures as the prime minister when he could not complete his mandated tenures, Sharif said it was not the first time that he was overthrown as he could only complete three years followed by two years in his previous two tenures at the PM House.

“I’ve been declared disqualified despite being the rightful prime minister. But, the people have given me more respect after being declared disqualified,” said the deposed PM.
