QUETTA: The Inspector General Police Balochistan, Moazzam Jah Ansari has said that a proposal of establishing a new police force comprising around 1500 security personnel is under consideration for the security duty in the provincial capital aimed to send police personnel back to the police stations.

QUETTA: The Inspector General Police Balochistan, Moazzam Jah Ansari has said that a proposal of establishing a new police force comprising around 1500 security personnel is under consideration for the security duty in the provincial capital aimed to send police personnel back to the police stations.
He said that another Eagle Motorcycle forces has been established for patrolling in the every road and street of Quetta to keep eye on the suspects and provide security to the people.
Mr. Ansari disclosed this while talking to newsmen at Quetta Press Club after offering condolence with a senior Journalist on the death of his close relative here on Sunday evening.
He said that the new eagle force comprising 400 personnel would be deployed in the provincial capital soon. “Two police personnel would patrol on one motorbike equipped with weapons,” IG Police explained and added that now a day’s security, including police, FC and other security forces were on the target of the terrorists. However, he said that all nefarious designs of the terrorists would be foiled as the moral of the forces is up and they were fight against terrorism with full determination.
He said that work is underway for preparing strategy on modern lines to elimination of terrorism and extremism from the country. He said that recently 220 personnel of Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF), has completed their training while another badge of ATF personnel would be sent for the specialized training.
He said that a proposal was prepared for establishing a new force comprising 1500 personnel for the approval of the Chief Minister. He said that after the approval of the competent authorities the proposal would be materialized.  He said that everything doesn’t need financial resources and many issues could be resolved through adopting better strategy and good performance. “We need to improve administration in the police department through appointing good senior officer that would help in streamlining the police affairs,” Moazzam Jah Ansari said.
Replying to a question, the IG Balochistan said that there was plan for establishing forensic laboratory in Quetta but for the time being we had established a satellite station was established linking Quetta with Punjab Forensic Laboratory for the investigation of important and big incidents, including DNA tests. He said, “For establishing a complete forensic laboratory needs at least Rs. One Billion.”
However, he said that we also have trained people who could investigate small incidents. He said that we have trained our people for collecting evidences of any incident and Balochistan Police also papered crime scene vehicles for collecting evidences at the spot.
Replying to a question about Quetta Safe City Project, Mr. Ansari said that the project needs over one year to complete. The contract was awarded to company recently which would implement on it. “Implement on Quetta Safe City was necessary for restoring durable peace in Quetta the capital city of Balochistan,” he said.
