QUETTA: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to have crackdown against those hotels and marriage halls who had not deposited withholding taxes (WHT) in Government treasury.

According to the officials, disclosure is about many hotels and marriage halls still not deposited WHT tax while they have collected from the customers. The defaulters list has been complied and teams are deputed in this regard to ensure the recovery.

They added that, all resources will be utilized for chasing revenue target of current financial year. The recovery from defaulters would be collected under section 114(4) of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
