QUETTA: Pak Iran Business ties have reached up to 1.5 billion dollars that would be increased on record level up 05 billion dollars, both counties have prolonged brotherly ties. Said Muhammad Rafie Iranian Council General on Sunday.

Addressing a seminar here in Quetta on the 39 Birthday of Islamic Revolution in Iran, Muhammad Rafie said Pakistan was the first country which officially conceded and welcomed regime change and Islamic revolution in Iran.

“Both nations have traditional, religious and business ties from decades, officially we had decided to increase Pak-Iran business ties up to 5 billion dollars’ record level from current 1.5 billion dollars.”

He added, Pakistan and Iran has more than 1000km land and sea border, Geo politically and Geo economically both countries have strategic importance in the region.
Talking in Pak-Iran trade via Balochistan Iranian Council General said, Balochistan is a trade gateway among both countries, Pak-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce is paving ways for business opportunities, “Last Pak-Iran joint border trade session was held in Zahdaan and 21st Border Commission Committee session was held in Gawadar where both countries had signed numerous trade deals.” Muhammad Rafie said and added joint trade bringing both masses more closure.

Talking on joint operations against terrorism, Iranian Council General said, to bring peace and instability in the region, Pak- Iran forces are taking joint measure to prevent terrorist attacks, “To bring peace in region other neighbors asp have to play their active role, because we all have to take positive steps for the prosper of the people of our region.”

Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Provincial Minister for C&W Mir Asim Kurd Gelo, Provincial President PPP Haji Ali Maddad Jattak, Provincial Ameer JI Maulana Abdul Haq Hashmi, BNP’s vise President Abdul Wali Kakar and other officials have also attended the ceremony.
