QUETTA: The Federal Minister for Railway, Khawaja Saad Refique has said that after restoring of Sibi-Harani railway section the people of the area would have easy travelling and it would also open a new era of prosperity and progress in Balochistan.

QUETTA: The Federal Minister for Railway, Khawaja Saad Refique has said that after restoring of Sibi-Harani railway section the people of the area would have easy travelling and it would also open a new era of prosperity and progress in Balochistan.

He visited the under construction Sibi-Harnai railway section on Thursday along with the Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, provincial ministers, Sarfaraz Bugti and  Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal where the Director General  National Logistic Cell Major General Faisal Mushtaq and Project Director Brigadier Omer Farooqi has given briefing about the pace of work on 134 km long Sibi-Harnai section.

The Railway Minister told reports on the occasion that 70 percent work has been completed and remaining world be completed by April 20018. He said that after restoring the session a road would also be constructed to link Sibi with Harnai and in his regard he would take with the Prime Minister. He said that definitely restoring of Sibi-Harnai railways section was not less than big challenge, but NLC accepted this challenge and will complete the project by April 2018.

“Pakistan Railway is spending Rs. 2.4 billion on the restoring rail service at Sibi-Harnai session,” Saad Refique said, adding that the NLC was working on the project in the supervision of experienced engineers and other staff. He said that work on the renovation of Sibi railway station was also in progress and after completing work, the Sibi station would be included in the most modern railway station of the country.

Replying to a question, the Federal Minister said that work on up gradation of railway was also in progress that would help in providing maximum facilities to the people of Balochistan. He said that the issue late coming of trains to Quetta was also had resolved and now all Quetta bound trains were on time.

Referring rumors about uncertainty of assemblies, the Federal Minister Saad Refique said that assemblies and PML-N government would complete would complete its constitutional term and election would after June 2018. “The enemy of democracy would remain fail as the era of showing finger by empire has been over,” he said, adding that PML-N believes in serving the people of the country.

He said that those who were sitting aboard enjoying luxurious life cannot stop the wheel of development and progress in Balochistan.
