QUETTA: The Protesting Disable persons set up their striking camp under their organization Voice for persons with Disabilities before Quetta Press Club from 36 days that ended after Chief Minister Assurance to fill their demands on Tuesday.

QUETTA: The Protesting Disable persons set up their striking camp under their organization Voice for persons with Disabilities before Quetta Press Club from 36 days that ended after Chief Minister Assurance to fill their demands on Tuesday.

Representatives of the Protesters visited Chief Minister House where Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri assured them that the provincial government is fully committed to implement Disable persons Quota in all vacant government jobs.

The Chief Minister pledged to rehabilitate the disabled people and it is the responsibility of the Government to perform this job. He said he was determined to make disabled useful citizen of this country for which all efforts would be made.

The Chief Minister had specially summoned the representatives to his Chamber for talks and resolve all the concerned issues the disabled are facing.

Nawab Sanaullah Zehri said that the disabled people are not a burden on the society or the individuals as they have qualities to become a better and useful citizens.

The organization called Voice for Disable Persons set up a striking camp before Quetta Press club before 36 days, and the camp was established to record their protest against injustice with disable persons in government jobs.

Provincial Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Advisor to CM for forest Ubaidullah Babat and MPA Nasrullah Zeray visited the camp where the persons with disabilities announced to end their strike.

“The Chief Minister has accepted their legal demands and assured the protesting persons with disabilities that their grievances will address on priority level.” Mir Sarfraz Bugti said.

He added, According to provincial government act, quota for disable persons has been increased from 2 to 5 percent, and CM Balochistan has directed all departments to fully implement disable persons’ quota in all vacant posts.

“If any normal persons have been appointed on disable persons’ quota, he/she should be pointed out, the provincial government will take strict actions against illicit appointments.” Sarfraz Bugti said and added CM Balochistan has assured to implement endowment fund for disable persons.

After ending the striking camp, Izzatullah member of the organization applauded provincial government efforts and said, “We were compelled to establish a striking because to raise voice for our due rights.”
