QUETTA: A child was killed after an explosive device exploded outside the gate of a Church in Christian Colony Chaman the Pak-Afghan border in city on Wednesday while seven people injured as a result of gas cylinder blast in Pashtoonabad.

QUETTA: A child was killed after an explosive device exploded outside the gate of a Church in Christian Colony Chaman the Pak-Afghan border in city on Wednesday while seven people injured as a result of gas cylinder blast in Pashtoonabad.

According to Police, unknown miscreants planted an explosive device outside the gate of a Church in Christian Colony that exploded with a huge bang, killing a child named Lucky and injuring another in Pak-Afghan bordering City Chaman.

Rescue workers and Law Enforcement Agencies rushed to the area and evacuated the dead and injured children to DHQ Hospital.

So far no group claimed responsibility of the attack. Windowpanes of several houses and car was damaged as result of the intensity of the blast.

Police have lodged the First Information Report (FIR) and started investigation.

Meanwhile at least seven people of a family were injured as a result of cylinder blast in pashtoonabad area of the provincial capital.

Rescue workers reached the site and shifted the injured to BMC Hospital’s burn ward.

However, unknown persons blown up a gas pipeline in Dhadhar area of District Bolan on Wednesday.

“The explosive device was planted beneath the pipeline that was explode with a remotely controlled device.” Levies said and added the explosion has damaged two feet of the pipeline.

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) officials confirmed the explosion didn’t disturb gas supply to the provincial capital and other cities of Balochistan.
