QUETTA: Provincial Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch on Wednesday has reiterated that the provincial government is keen to stem-out fatal diseases including HIV Aids while the provincial government established aids center in 28 Districts.

QUETTA: Provincial Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch on Wednesday has reiterated that the provincial government is keen to stem-out fatal diseases including HIV Aids while the provincial government established aids center in 28 Districts.

Addressing a ceremony conducted by Aids Control Program in Quetta’s Boys Scouts Provincial Health Minister Rehmat Saleh Baloch said, HIV patients are listed in the province while blood centers are being established to avoid Aids’ spread in Balochistan,

“The incumbent Provincial Government has established HIV control centers in 28 Districts of Balochistan where patients will be treated free of cost.”

Citing myriad issues in Health Department Rehmat Saleh Baloch said, when our government took the administrative rein of the province we had to revamp issue that were existed from past 40 years,

“Worse law and order kept-away foreign donors’ from Balochistan but today they are helping the provincial particularly health department and within our capacity and resources we are attempting to put on track the health department.”

DG Health Muhammad Hayat, UNICEF’s provincial chief Miren Den, Provincial Manger Aids Control Program Dr Noor Muhammad Qazi and other parliamentarians were gathered in the ceremony.

“Instead of serving for the people of Balochistan our predecessors just did corrupt practices but today people can witness positive changes in Health Department as Government Hospitals are functional and providing free health facilities to the people of Balochistan.” Yasmeen Lehri member of Assembly added.

Sharing the total aids patients figure In Balochistan Provincial Chief Aids Control Program Dr. Noor Muhammd Qazi said, there are 3500 aids patients in Balochistan in which 856 have been registered under provincial aids control program,

“In the provincial capital total aids patients tally has reached on 572 and 416 are being treated while Zhob, Qila Saifullah, Naseerbad and Gidani are on high-risk.”
