QUETTA: The Balochistan Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, vowed to eliminate the menace of narcotics from the society and he had called for suggestion from the concerned authority for dealing with the use of narcotics in Balochistan.

QUETTA: The Balochistan Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, vowed to eliminate the menace of narcotics from the society and he had called for suggestion from the concerned authority for dealing with the use of narcotics in Balochistan.

The Chief Minister was responding to a call attention notice from Anita Irfan on the floor of the Balochistan Assembly on Monday saying that the workable suggestions would be enforced without any delay.

Nawab Zehri informed the House that the issue was part of the Agenda when the Provincial Cabinet held its meeting last and it came under through discussion and it was decided to deal the narco business with an iron hand.

He said that the Government had adopted practical measure to eliminate the use of narcotics in the society as a whole covering the entire province. At the same time, the Chief Minister said that rehabilitation centres had also been established in different parts of Balochistan.

Referring to narco business in different parts of Balochistan, the Chief Minister said that he had issued specific instructions and directives to the Balochistan IGP and others to crackdown on all those dens and centres of illegal business.

Nawab Zehri expressed his deep concern over the female addicts of narcotics for which the Government should adopt specific and effective measures to contain the menace.

He called for plunging the narcotic supplies from across the border; the issue of narcotic use would not be resolved. He said he would hold discussion with the police and security official plugging the narcotic smuggling to Balochistan. He said that narcotics are being supplied to the colleges.
