QUETTA:  Security Forces arrested 11 suspected militants belong to banned militant outfit and seized huge quantity of illegal arms and ammunition during operations conducted in different area of Balochistan.

QUETTA:  Security Forces arrested 11 suspected militants belong to banned militant outfit and seized huge quantity of illegal arms and ammunition during operations conducted in different area of Balochistan.

Official sources said here on Sunday that Frontier Corps carried out operations in Duki, Kohlu and Qila Saifullah districts on the intelligence based information. Personnel of intelligence agencies and levies were also took part in the operation along with FC in connection with ongoing operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

Sources said that security forces arrested 11 suspected from different areas during search operations. “They belong to banned militant organization,” security officials said.
In Qila Saifullah area security forces found four improvised explosive devices that were defused by the bomb disposal squad officials who were called by the official concerned. IED were ready for planting. However, so arrest was reported in this regard.
Levies personnel seized huge quantity of illegal arms and ammunition from a place in the outskirts of Kohlu town. The Deputy Commissioner of Kohlu district said that levies force carried out a search operation in the area on information about dumping of arms and ammunition.

“Levies raided a compound and recovered arms and ammunition dumped underground by terrorists for terrorist attacks,” Agha Nadeem Akhtar, Deputy Commissioner Kohlu told a Press Conference, adding that they were using the compound as their hideout. However, no arrest was reported in this regard.
Arms and ammunition seized by the security forces include 181 shells of RPG-7 rockets, 172 RPG fuse, 80 RDS and RPG-7 gun.
