QUETTA: Provincial Health Minister Balochistan Rehmat Saleh Baloch has announced on Wednesday that to provide adequate health facility in deprived districts of the province, Health Department Balochistan is going to appoint 216 doctors on adhoc basis.

“The new appointee doctors are directed to make sure their presence in their respective districts on emergency basis that would be helpful to provide better health care o the people of Balochistan.” Rehmat Saleh Baloch said.

He shared these views while addressing Journalists here in the provincial capital Quetta and said, 216 doctors are going to appoint in health department on adhoc basis and soon they will perform their duties in remote districts of the province,

“People had a very important role to monitor doctors’ presence in their districts and lodge complains if any doctor shows negligence in his/her duty.” Rehmat Saleh Baloch said.

The appointed doctors will be posted in Quetta, Musakhail, Zhob, Washuk, Shaheed Sikandarabad, Jhal Magsi, Naseerabad, Sohbatpur, Duki, Sherani, Kharan, Naushki, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Gwadar, Jiwani, Awaran and other remote parts of Balochistan.

Talking on the appalling healthcare system in Balochistan in previous tenure Provincial Health Minister said, unfortunately we had to purge numerous flaws in health system that was completely destroyed by previous regimes,

“Majority doctors were absent from their duties and there was a culture of sacred cows in Health Department, from the very start we have precluded all doctors to be punctual on their respective profession.” Health Minister said and added latest machinery and medicines were available in all government hospitals.
