DUBAI: A 16-member Pakistan team on Sunday arrived in Dubai via foreign airlines for Test series against Sri Lanka.

DUBAI: A 16-member Pakistan team on Sunday arrived in Dubai via foreign airlines for Test series against Sri Lanka.

Sarfraz Ahmad would lead the Test team for the first time whereas Asad Shafique would assist him. Against the backdrop of conditions in UAE, 5 fast bowlers and 3 spinners were included in the squad.

Yasir Shah and right-hand opener Azhar Ali had cleared the fitness test and thus made it into the final sixteen.

Other players include Babar Azam, Haris Sohail, Shan Masood, Sami Aslam, Mohammad Asghar, Bilal Asif, Mohammad Amir, Usman Salahuddin, Mohammad Abbas, Hassan Ali, Wahab Riaz, and Meer Hamza.

First Test of the series will begin from September 28 in Abu Dhabi while the second match will be started in Dubai. Five one-day internationals (ODIs) will also be played on the same venues.

Two of the three Twenty20 matches will be played in Abu Dhabi while the third T20 will be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
