QUETTA: The Sessions Court on Saturday has handed over Nawabzada Ghazain Marri on judicial remand to Levies Force in case of Kohlu blast that was lodged against him 2004. He will remain in custody for five day

Mir Ghazain Marri was produced before the Sessions Court Judge Rashid Mehmood at Sessions Court here on Saturday.

“First Information Report (5) 2004 was produced by Levies before the honorable court and submitted an application to get judicial remand of my client Ghazain Marri,”Arbab Tahir Advocate told media persons outside the court.

Acting on Levies’ application the session court has handed over Ghazain Marri for five days judicial remand and ordered to pursue interrogation here in Quetta rather than in Kohlu and released other 07 detainees arrested along with Mr. Marri.

Mr. Ghazain Marri returned to Quetta from Sharjah in UAE yesterday after ending his 18 years self-exile where he was arrested by Law Enforcement Agencies on arrival.

“We had filed an application against Ghazain Marri’s illegal detention, but our plea was disposed-off by the court following Kohlu Blast charges that was filed against my client in 2004,” Marri’s lawyer added.

He said, the Kohlu blast’s FIR was lodged in 2004 while Nawabzada Ghazain Marri left the country in 2000.

Large number of people from Marri tribe had gathered outside the court while strict security measures were adopted outside and inside the premises for session court following Ghazain Marri’s hearing.
