QUETTA: A man died and other injured when their motorbike ran over a landline laid down by unknown persons in Kohlu on Tuesday.

QUETTA: A man died and other injured when their motorbike ran over a landline laid down by unknown persons in Kohlu on Tuesday.

According to Levis, two brothers were riding on their motorbike when they hit a landmine in Nasau area of District Kohlu, “As result of blast a man named Tangu died on the spot while his brother Shah Dan sustained serious injuries,”

Rescue workers and Levis forces rushed to the spot and evacuated the dead and injured to near District Run Hospital.

The mine was laid down by unknown miscreants and their target is ascertained to be known.

Last week a women along with his two children were killed when they stepped over a landmine in Kohlu that erupt grieve and anger among the people of Kohlu. A protest was staged by the people of Kohlu against unknown persons deliberately laying mines on residential areas.

Levis force had lodged the case against unknown persona and investigation is underway.

Meanwhile Police and Frontier Corps (FC) have recovered six hand grenade hided beneath the land in Qadirabad area of Naushki.

According to Police, acting on a tip-off Police force along with FC raided in Qadirabad and seized six hand grenades hided for terror activities.

“No arrest was made during the operation but Bomb Disposal team has defuse the grenades.”
