Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi arrived in Karachi on Saturday to chair a high-level security meeting.

Upon his arrival, the premier was received by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Zubair Ashraf, following which he visited Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s mausoleum to pay his respects.

PM Abbasi is also expected to attend Dr Ruth Pfau’s state funeral that is set to take place today in the metropolis. He will also meet the business community at the Governor House.

On Thursday, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi announced a state funeral for Dr Pfau, who, despite originally being from Germany, made eliminating leprosy from Pakistan her life’s mission.
