Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has said that the federal ministers would neither dissolve the assemblies nor resign however, we will challenge the final Panamagate report submitted by Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in Supreme Court (SC).The premier presided over a meeting at the PM House on Tuesday to discuss course-of-action of the ruling party following submission of JIT report.

During the meeting, it was decided to take coalition parties into confidence over Panama case report after which proper strategy would be design for legal war at every platform.

PM alos ordered to constitute a legal team under the supervision of advocate Khawaja Harris whereas the already formed legal team that includes Barrister Zafarullah Khan and Anousha Rehman will assist Khawaja Harris and will prepare a document after thoroughly analyzing the JIT report.

The attendees also discussed strong reaction from the opposition parties especially Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) who only demanded PM’s resignation.

Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar would hold meetings with Khurshid Shah and Aitzaz Ahsan before National Assembly session. It was also learnt that the premier will soon meet Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Mahmood Khan Achakzai to ask for their support.

On the occasion, the ministers and representatives of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) reiterated their confidence in the party leadership and branded the JIT report a compilation of documents based on hypotheses and lies.

The participants of the meeting observed that the probe team relied upon media coverages and accusations only that made it a political report.

They also stated that PM’s hands are clean as he is not having any offshore company, therefore, he will not resign, adding Panama Leaks is a conspiracy whose directors are abroad and actors are in the country.

Ishaq Dar rejected as baseless the allegations leveled against him about his finance matters. He said all the record of his tax returns and financial matters is available, and will be presented to the court. He said a narrative is being tried to be built since the report was submitted to the court.

He said patience should be observed till the decision, and the democratic process should be allowed to be continued.

Meanwhile, Khawaja Saad Rafique said the allegations levelled by the JIT will be replied in Supreme Court.

He said JIT did not ask any question about the documents submitted to the court and that the JIT acted partially, and its report is based on ill-intentions.

Barrister Zafarulla Khan said the JIT report is being presented as a decision. He said there is a great difference between a court decision and an investigation report.

The session was attended by Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, former National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Saif-ur-Rehman and other senior leaders of the party.
