It has been more than four long years that the Pakistan Football Federation was unable to start the Pakistan Football Premier League. The last Premier League was organised in 2013-14 which won by K-Electric.

Dispute between Faisal Saleh Hayat and his allies created parallel bodies in Pakistan Football Federation which adversely affected the game of football and the important segments of plyers.

In the good old days Karachi alone had more than 20 departmental football teams and KMC football stadium was a hub of football even not less than theater of dream” Old Trafford” as Manchester United home ground considered by player segment around the country. Karachi, particularly Lyari had the honour to producing larger number of excellent players.

They represented Pakistan national team but now it has been far from player to get employment to become a professional footballer as their ancestors have become before.

Irony is that those departments shut down their football teams but their cricket and hockey teams exist as intellectual and educated segment consider it is conspiracy against a nation to deprive them getting employment in government institution like Port Qasim Authority, Karachi Municipal Corporation, Muslim Commercial Bank, Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, Karachi Development Authority.

Moreover level of politics has entered in football is unimaginable as district South registered local football teams are forbidden by Secretary of Sindh Football Association because of defeat his colleague in DFA elections in 2014.

Majority of DFA South clubs were denied to vote the dummy people whom were manipulated by present Secretary of Sindh Football Association.

Instead of realizing the importance of his post to talk to the head of department whom shut down their football teams to reopen on trial base  though at least unemployed international football player can get employment and earn bread and butter to feed their family but has become trouble maker to create obstacle to poverty stricken area of Lyari.

On the other hand elite group established an organisation and getting funds and sponsor from developed countries on the pretext of football promotion and poor players’ community as football became lucrative business for this elite group who exploiting the funds of poverty stricken area players.

Last but not the least, Pakistan has dropped from FIFA world football ranking from 95 in 1994 to 200 in 2017 because of embargo and absence of national level competition as circumstance will remain stagnant though player community would suffer more than imagination.
