QUETTA: Provincial Home Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has dispelled the impression of Islamic State’s (IS) presence in Balochistan and has said that operation against terrorist is in full swing under Operation Radd-ul-Fassad.

Speaking at a news conference here at Madadgar Centre of Frontier Corps (FC) on Tuesday, he along with the spokesperson of the provincial government Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that during intelligence based operations two terrorists of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) Nazar Muhammad alias Beberg and Muhammad Jan alias Laila were killed who were involved in 80 different acts of terrorism which included the attack and setting ablaze Quaid-e-Azam Residency, target killing of many people and attacks on the national installations and communication services.

They said that the operation Radd-ul-Fassad is successfully underway in entire Balochistan and the banned outfits like Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and others are being continually chased, adding that the recent Mastung operation was also a link of the same chain which led to killing of two dangerous terrorists who were involved in 17 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) attacks on security forces, 15 acts of kidnapping for ransom among 80 crimes.

They said that security forces had killed two other terrorists of the same group three weeks ago in Margart Mines and Indus Margrat area who were identified as Doctor and Niazo. They said that the mobile phones recovered from the terrorists bear video evidences of attack on security forces, and other information which also leads to the clues to the foreign elements. They said that such actions would continue against the terrorist, adding that the killed terrorists were getting aid from Afghanistan and the foreign agency was directly assisting them so that the law and order could be disturbed in Quetta and Balochistan.

Responding to a question, he said that there is no existence of Daesh in Balochistan, adding that the said organization is making efforts to strengthen its base in entire country but the ISPR and government have expressed their strongest resolve not to allow the organization for making any bases and headways in Balochistan.

He said that Balochistan has hosted the Afghan refugees for 30 years and Federal Government has a clear policy regarding them under which they are returning to their country, adding, “My personal opinion is that Afghan refugees are deteriorating law and order in Balochistan and some of them had become tools in the hands of NDS and RAW.” He said that the return of registered refugees should be ensured.

Anwar ul Haq Kakar said that a wrong impression was being created against Army and State through social media.
