GWADAR: SGAFP-USAID constructed eleven water storage tanks in UC Nalaint of District Gwadar. The project closing ceremony was held by the Health and Nutrition society (HnNutS) Balochistan in the community hall of Gwadar.

HnNutS was implementing a project titled “Improving Water Storage Facilities in Union Council Nalaint through Construction of Surface Water Tanks” funded by USAID Ambassador Fund Program. The ceremony was attended by the district Chairman of Local Government, representative of department of Public Health Engineering department and members of civil society organizations. Briefing the forum, Project Coordinator shared that the project aims to improve storage of safe drinking water in six villages of Union Council Nalaintnamely Sar Kappar, Bagad Kappar, Mulla Qadie Baksh Bazar, Shakar Bal, Gurgejani Kappar & BundiKappar) Tehsil Pasni, District Gwadar through construction of 11water storage tanks, which is ultimately benefiting approx. 4,060 community members. Furthermore community sessions on health, hygiene and nutrition also have been organized for raising awareness on glaring issues. The project was completed in mid of May 2017.
