QUETTA: Provincial Secretary Food Noor Ahmed Pirkani has said that wheat purchase points have been established in Naseerabad, Jafferabad and Jhalmagsi whith a target to more than 1500,000 wheat bags.

He said this while talking to the reporters regarding purchase of wheat at Dera Murad Jamali, here on Sunday. He said that as many as 15 centres have been established and the process of purchasing wheat has been made transparent, adding that the purchase of wheat has been ensured from the small landowners and growers so that they acquire economic stability. He said that 1300 per kg bag would be purchased and no compromise would be made on the quality of the wheat, adding that corrupt staff has no place in Food Department and to make the process error free, experienced staff has been appointed. He further said that the purchase points have been established in different parts of the districts and in rural areas so that the growers are encouraged at the local level. He said that no irregularities would be tolerated in the process, adding that the growers should also cooperate with the Food Department as buying fine wheat is our topmost priority.
