QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that higher education is the best and effective way of change and development provided that the curriculum is linked with the objective circumstances of the society.

QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that higher education is the best and effective way of change and development provided that the curriculum is linked with the objective circumstances of the society.

He expressed these views here on Wednesday at Governor House while chairing the annual review of the Public Sector Universities.

On the occasion Vice Chancellor University of Balochistan Dr. Javed Iqbal, VC IT University Engineer Farooq Bazai, VC Lasbella University Dr. Dost Muhammad Baloch, VC Turbat University Dr. Abdul Razaq Sabir, VC Women University Dr. Rukhsana Jabeen, VC Khuzdar Engineering University Brigadier (r) Muhammad Amin, VC Loralai University Professor Abdullah Khan were present on the occasion.

Governor expressed his satisfaction over the performance of the state-run universities in Balochistan and stressed the need for further improving the educational standards. He said that the 21st century is a century of scientific inventions and technological revolution which sends a clear message that nation should get modern and quality education. He said that without quality education no nation can cover the distances of development, adding that education has an important role in the lives of the modern nations.

He said that the campuses of universities in other cities would make a good progress in educational field in Balochistan, adding that given the scattered population of Balochistan, the degree colleges can be used as campuses of universities.
