QUETTA: A man was gunned down in Loralai here on Tuesday while police arrested the assailant with weapon used in crime.

According to the details, a man identified as Meera Jan opened fire and killed his relative Ameer Jan and made an attempt to escape. However, acting timely, police arrested the assailant and recovered a pistol and four magazines from his custody.

Meanwhile, five persons were injured in an exchange of fire between two groups.

According to the Police, an exchange of fire took  place in Tehsil Usta Muhammad of Jaffarabad between two rival groups over a lasting feud. As a result, five persons who were identified as Muhammad Batal, Saeed Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Ismail, Taj Muhammad sustained bullet wounds.

The injured were shifted to the hospital.
