QUETTA: Provincial Government has formulated a new security plan for the Provincial Capital in view of the security threats, it is learnt here on Sunday.

QUETTA: Provincial Government has formulated a new security plan for the Provincial Capital in view of the security threats, it is learnt here on Sunday.

According to the Sources, the new security plan would make a compulsory profiling of houses in order to track down facilitators of banned outfits and would ban residence in mosques, seminaries, schools and government owned building. The registration of renters has also been made compulsory under the new security plan.

The plan has been formulated collaboratively by the Police, FC and Security Agencies. In the first phase, the registration of renters has been emphasized in the light of the statute passed by Balochistan Assembly. Moreover, the registration of seminaries, schools and government buildings has been made compulsory for the concerned police station. The individuals who would fail to register would be arrested while the guests’ visit would also be registered with the committee that would be formulated by the concerned police station. If any relative or guest were arrested from a school, seminary, or mosque, who was staying without prior information to the committee, would be arrested and would face legal action.

The security plan has also made it compulsory for the watchmen to be trained and registered and according to SP Sariab Nasib Ullah Khan the training would be provided by Police and FC jointly.

He said that further cameras were fixed in the suburban areas of Quetta, specially Sariab. Major Nasir of FC’s Gazaband Scouts said that local committees would be formed so that it is known as to who was living in the area and has affiliations with which political party. He said that hidden cameras would also be installed at important entry and exit points at suburban areas of the provincial capital.
