NAUSHKI: Mir Khursheed Jamaldini, a central leader of the Balochistan National Party, has demanded from the Government to pay Rs 10 million as compensation to the heirs of deceased police cadets who laid down their life in a terrorist attack in Quetta.

He said that there are no job opportunities in Balochistan and the only source of employment is Government of Balochistan and its related Departments. The cadets most of them belonging to very poor families and hailing from the remotest corners of Balochistan should be compensated adequately as no one had left behind after they lost their lives in a terror attack.

He strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the innocent people saying that it is the second such attack on the people of Quetta. The Government should explain why the terrorists are repeatedly targeting Balochistan and its people in a very big way giving deep shock to the people.

Referring to his demand for compensation, he said that there are precedence in Sindh, KPK and other parts of Pakistan where the victims of terrorism were given huge compensation. In most cases, officials of the security forces were given Rs 10 million each as compensation. Thus the families of the victims of police training college Quetta should also receive Rs 10 million each per family and Balochistan should not be discriminated in this regard.
