Speaking at various meetings held at the CM Secretariat on Sunday, the Chief Minister also reviewed the plan to establish a solid waste management plant in Quetta to dispose of solid waste in north and south of the Provincial Capital.

Nawab Zehri said that the Government officials at all level should implement the orders and decisions already approved. He pledged to provide additional funds for Quetta in future.

In regard to the special development package for Quetta granted by the Prime Minister, Nawab Zehri said that the PC-I of projects should be sent to the Government immediately as he is deeply interested in beautification of the city besides providing better civic services and facilities to the entire people and without any discrimination.

The Chief Minister was informed by the officials that the illegal occupation on tube-wells in the Dasht Plains of Quetta had been vacated and the pipeline laid to ensure supply of three million clean water to the residents of Saryab resident

He also issued instructions to the concerned authorities for preparing feasibility report on GPO Chowk and Sarena Hotel underpass making smooth flow of traffic  in this section of the city.

In the first meeting, Provincial Ministers Nawab Ayaz Khan Jogezai, Rahim Ziaratwal, Sardar Raza Mohammad Bareech, MPAs Nasurallah Zeray, Manzoor Kakar, Syed Raza Agha, Tahir Mahmud and among officials the Provincial Chief Secretary Saifullah Chattha, additional Chief Secretary Daud Bareech,  Commissioner Quetta Division and Secretaries of the various administrative departments also participated.

The Chief Minister had clearly told the officials and representatives of the people that he would never compromise on quality of the scheme. The officials should resist all pressure tactics and should refuse to give in.

Meanwhile, there is a growing demand from the Chief Minister that the 1.5 million residents of Saryab should get decent civic amenities and municipal services by constructing a credible sewerage system for the whole area which is half of Quetta,

The project for sewerage system should be included in the schemes for which the Prime Minister had provided a grant of Rs 5 billion for development of Quetta.

Development and beautification is meaningless without providing civic amenities and basic municipal services to the people. First the people should be saved from dirt, filth and from the highly populated atmosphere and later on the work on beautification should start.
