QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has ordered a serious crackdown against the spurious drug business and quakes in Balochistan.

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has ordered a serious crackdown against the spurious drug business and quakes in Balochistan.

Reacting strongly on a report published in the two leading newspapers on Wednesday, Nawab Zehri praised the official campaign against the illicit drug business, mainly the widespread public sale of sub-standard and fake drug in the Province.

He said his Government would never allow the racketeers and cheat to play with the life of the people and plunder the ailing humanity.

Nawab Zehri said that it is the constitutional and moral duty of the Government to curb and eliminate the illicit drug business and not to allow the dishonest people to play with life of the people.

He had taken notice the business of substandard, and fake medicines and directed the Secretary Health, all Divisional and Deputy Directors of Health Department to take actions against those involved in this crime against humanity in the province.

In the CM directives, it emphasized it’s our constitutional, national and moral  duty to take action against the traders of fake medicines as no one is allowed to gain illegal benefits from doing business by playing with the lives of innocent people.

Those who posses fake degrees of doctors  and treat patients for the purpose of money are the ulcer of the community which would be eliminated at any cost.

As no one to be allowed to get safe sailing from doing illegal trade here as the life and properties of people are out first responsibility which will be acted upon at any cost.

Nawab Sanaulah Zehri also directed the relevant authorities to present the report of action taken against the illegal trade, doctors and individuals.

While talking to a delegation  from Awaran, the Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that development of far- flung and backward areas of the province is the top-most priority of his government.
“Provision of basic amenities such as education, health and clean drinking water is right of masses and government is strived hard to ensure these facilities to the masses at their doorstep,” he asserted.
Talking to Chairman Awaran District Mir Naseer Bizenjo and Chairman Municipal Committee Mir Raziq Mirwani who called on him under the leadership of former Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly Mir Abdul Qadoos Bezinjo, MPA Asim Kurd was also present, the Chief Minister said provision of education to the children specially living in remote areas of the province is given first priority.

“Rs 1.5 billion has been allocated for schools under Chief Minister Development Programme that would help ensure missing facilities in the schools and ensure provision of basic facilities,” he said.
He said that focus is also being given to increase enrollment of girls in schools and the authorities concerned have been directed to expedite efforts in this connection.
Chief Minister said that improving the performance of Local Bodies, government is taking steps to decentralize powers so that the issues of masses could be solved at their door steps.

“The budget for local bodies has been doubled and their problems are being addressed so that they could come up with effective performance in resolving the issues of masses,” he added.
Referring to issues faced by agriculture sector, Nawab Zehri said that agriculture is the backbone of economy of the province and government is taking effective measures to address the issues of farmers. “Agriculture tube-wells are being converted into solar energy that would not only solve electricity problem but also increase farm production in the province,” he said.
