QUETTA:  Balochistan National Party (BNP) chief Sardar Akhter Mengal said on Monday, the Federal Government and Provincial Government have to end our reservations over CPEC, we can’t bare development that turn Baloch into a  minority on their own fatherland.

“Baloch people are being treated as third class citizens of Pakistan that will cause negative impact on national unity, instead of answering Indian Prime Minister by conducting public rallies, our leadership should have reacted with more power,” Balochistan National Party (BNP) chief said.

He shared these views while addressing a news conference in residence of BNP’s provincial leader Saeed Mengal in Hub.

“We will continue to oppose development projects that are going to turn Baloch nation in a minority in Balochistan, the Federal and Provincial Governments are yet to end our reservations over China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).” Akhter Mengal said.

Replying to a question BNP’s chief said, some elements are attempting to push Balochistan’s future into stone-age, but we are standing against all forces seek to keep Baloch uneducated and backward.

“Pakistan can’t be developed and peaceful, unless Balochistan is on fire because Pakistan’s lighting future relays on our soil,” he added.

Answering a question over Assembly’s role on Balochistan basic rights, Mengal replied, “Our Provincial Assembly is busy to pass resolutions, we never wanted to take part in 2013 general elections, but followed the party’s decision.”
