QUETTA: Balochistan’s Lawyers Action Committee took out a rally and sit-in in front of Balochistan Assembly against the incident of 8th August in Civil Hospital Quetta here on Tuesday.

QUETTA: Balochistan’s Lawyers Action Committee took out a rally and sit-in in front of Balochistan Assembly against the incident of 8th August in Civil Hospital Quetta here on Tuesday.

The large number of lawyers was gathered at the occasion.

Talking to the protesting rally Balochistan High Court Bar Association President Advocate Abdul Ghani Khilji, Advocate Ali Ahmed Kurd, Advocate Ali Khan Kakar and others called the investigation of the 8thAugust incident of Civil Hospital unsatisfactory after the passage of 48 days.

They accused the government letting the investigation process slow through a planed conspiracy which is a matter of great concern and worries for the family of martyred lawyers.

They added that lawyers are under threat in countrywide particularly in Balochistan.

The 8th August incident of Civil Hospital was the most tragic and heinous incident on the lawyers in the history of Pakistan which killed 54 lawyers they said.

 

They said after the tragic incident of Civil Hospital provincial leaders and security institutions had assured to bring the criminals into justice soon but it seems the investigation process is very slow adding that, “The present situation is a question mark for the provincial government.

They warned to continue their protest of boycotting courts on Tuesday and Thursday unless the criminals are brought into justice.

Tight security measures were taken during the rally of Lawyers as a large number of security forces were deployed there to check any kind of inconvenience.

Owning to the boycott of lawyers in Balochistan High Court and other courts prisoners and other people faced problems.
