LAHORE: Chief of the Pakistan Awami Tehrik, Dr Tahirul Qadri, has claimed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is a security risk and he should be removed from power.

Delivering his hardest hitting speech in Lahore following the peaceful sit in protest at Mall Road here, Dr Qadri claimed that Nawaz Sharif is pro-India and he is allegedly advancing Indian agenda in the region. He claimed that India had conspired four years ahead of the 2013 elections to install Nawaz in power to advance the Indian interest in the region.

The PAT chief said that no one can defeat Sharifs in any elections in Pakistan even the founding fathers of Pakistan would lose Municipal election against Nawaz Sharif or his nominees as he had bought the entire system to manipulate the election results.

Dr Qadri told a huge gathering that Punjab is the ideological capital of terrorism in Pakistan where all the main bases, hideouts, intellectual base, training centres are located in the Punjab. He termed the Punjab as ideological father of Waziristan terrorists and all the top ideologues of terrorism are in Punjab against whom the Government refused to take action or wipe out the terrorist bases in the Punjab.

He also criticized the allies of Mian Nawaz Sharif who had alleged level charges against Pakistan claiming that it is Pakistan and its security forces are main sources on terrorism and instability in the entire region, particularly in the neighbouring country. Dr Qadri told the audience that Nawaz Sharif had not contested the claims and charges of his political ally who is also a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and an occupant of the Treasury Benches.

He said that he would make an announcement on August 28 next at a mass rally and public meeting in Rawalpindi or Islamabad. He said huge rallies were held in 105 townships and cities of Pakistan on the call of Pakistan Awami Tehrik.

He claimed that the police wanted to close the shops on the Mall Road Lahore during the rally and it was the workers and supporters of the PAT who prevailed on the shopkeepers to keep open their business for the day and they would be given protection when the police failed. The shops remained open and no untoward incident reported in any part of Pakistan as the PAT workers were disciplined and committed to their cause to retain peace and order.
