QUETTA: Canadian Government would install 1000 mw solar power plant in Balochistan and all investment would be made by Commercial Corporation Canada, an organisation of Canadian Government.

QUETTA: Canadian Government would install 1000 mw solar power plant in Balochistan and all investment would be made by Commercial Corporation Canada, an organisation of Canadian Government.

A memorandum of Understanding was signed at a simple but impressive ceremony in Islamabad Wednesday.

Balochistan Chief Secretary Saithfullah Chatha, Acting High Commissioner Canada Staurt Savage, Vice Chairman Board of Investment Khwaja Humayun Nizami were also present.

Secretary Energy Department Khaleeq Nazar Kayani and an official of Commercial Corporation Canada signed MoU while Chef Secretary Signed as a witness.

This would be government to government project in which all the investment was being made by Commercial Corporation. It would be completed in 18 months period which would be expanded afterwards. Government of Balochistan would provide land and other necessary facilities for the project.

Speaking with Canadian high commissioner Chief Secretary welcomed Canadian investment in energy sector and said provincial government headed by Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri was ready to provide all facilities to foreign investors.

Expressing keen interest in investment tin Balochistan Canadian High Commissioner said government of Canada would review increase in investment in different sectors in Balochistan.
