QUETTA: In-charge of Gwadar Security force Brigadier Shahzad Iftikhar Bhatti said on Saturday that, efforts are underway to make Gwadar a safe city and new resident cards would be issued to citizens of port city,

QUETTA: In-charge of Gwadar Security force Brigadier Shahzad Iftikhar Bhatti said on Saturday that, efforts are underway to make Gwadar a safe city and new resident cards would be issued to citizens of port city,

“The responsibility to make Gwadar a safe city has been given to Pakistan Army regarding which new Army check-points had been established at the entrance of the port city to enhance the security for foreign investors and general masses,” Brigadier Shahzad Iftikhar added.

He shared these views while talking to the administrators and tribal elders of Gwadar at Deputy Commissioner Office on Saturday.

“We have decided to strictly check legal documents and registration of all outsiders seek to which is for new resident cards would be issued to the citizens of deep water port city Gwadar,” Brigadier Shahzad Iftikhar added.

Stressing upon the public support he said, people of Gwadar are our stakeholders and we want to work with them as a team, “The Federal and Provincial Governments are keen to focus on social sector of the city to create more jobs and better opportunities for the citizens,” he said and added electricity, water, health and other general facilities would be provided to the people of Gwadar.

Talking about the severe water turmoil in the city Brigadier Shahzad said, to upend the water shortage we have started development work on Sod Dam while security had already been tightened for Shadi kur Dam, “pipelines have been laid down and I am assuring that water shortage would be resolved in recent future,”

Citing the Pak-China economic corridor Brigadier Shahzad Iftikhar said, the people of Gawadar would be first beneficiaries of the out-come of this deal, “We have decided to  introduce more educational and training program for the youth of Gwadar,”
